3-Bag Laundry Sorter

Laundry!  Nobody likes doing it and if you have kids, it seems like that is all you get done.  One household item that should help with this chore is a 3-Bag Laundry Sorter on wheels.  Let’s take a look at some of the steps in the process.  First you have to take it from the hamper and put into the basket to carry it to the laundry room.  Next, you have to go into your kids rooms and pick theirs up, because for some reason putting their dirty clothes in a hamper is a foreign concept.  Lastly, you get to sort it so that the colors do not “bleed” on the whites and so on.  What a headache! 

With a laundry sorter, you can eliminate some of the sorting and if you play your cards right, maybe you can get your kids to put their dirty clothes in the bins.  With 3 kids in the house, a normal laundry hamper just would not hold all of their dirty clothes.  Now they put their clothes into their own bin.  Once their bin gets full, they can bring the bag downstairs and do their laundry, sometimes.  Usually it is more like “Mom my clothes bag is full.  I need clean clothes.”  Once in a while they even tell me.  Which makes me wonder at times just how smart my kids really are, because I am a dump it all in and wash kind of a guy.

The Seville Classics Heavy Duty 3-Bag Laundry Sorter is constructed from a chrome wire frame.  It comes with heavy duty draw string canvas bags that can hold up to one load of laundry.  For added support, a wire grid tray system is on the bottom shelf.   Also, it has lockable wheels to keep it place after you move the sorter to the laundry room. 

Easy to assemble and measuring 30.8 x 18 x 33 inches this laundry sorter will fit in most places.  However, as one reviewer noted, because the bag hooks extend beyond the horizontal poles, the functional dimension is closer to 19 ½” wide.  Something to consider if your space is tight.
This solid 4 star laundry sorter will definitely make doing laundry easier.

Another sorter to consider is the Honey-Can-Do Heavy-Duty Triple Laundry Sorter.  A slightly smaller profile for this one may be what is needed for those with limited space.  The Honey-Can-Do also has lockable wheels and removable bags.  However the bags are made of a cotton-twill, which means they might not last as long as the canvas bags that Seville uses for their sorter.

Easy to assemble it measures 31 x 18 x 32 and the Honey-Can-Do comes with a lifetime warranty.  It seems that most of the issues with this product revolve around the flimsiness of the bags.  The bags are made of cotton and do not seem to last as long as the canvass bags.

Still this is another solid 4 star laundry sorter that will also help with make doing laundry less stressful.

Which one should I buy?

Both of these laundry sorters are highly rated and you would be making a great decision regardless which one you bought.  But, for my money, I prefer the Seville Classics SHE 16166 3-Bag Laundry Sorter.  The canvass bags make the difference because they will last longer.  Also, the tray on the bottom shelf helps prevent the weight of the bags from pulling down the bars they hang on, this is a nice touch.
